(Phnom Penh) On 7 May 2026, the Cambodia Investment Forum 2026 was successfully held under the theme “Strengthening Resilience Through Investment Care with Manpower and Strategic Partnership,” bringing together senior government officials, private sector leaders, development partners, and investors to discuss Cambodia’s investment climate and economic development priorities.
The forum was organized under the high patronage of Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia.
Lim Heng led members of the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce on behalf of Kith Meng, Chairman of the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of the ASEAN Tourism Advisory Council for Cambodia.
The event was attended by several senior government leaders, including Keo Rottanak, Hem Vanndy, Heng Sour, Eang Sophalleth, Kong Vibol, and Kun Nhem, along with representatives from the private sector and related institutions.
The forum aimed to enhance private sector awareness regarding investment facilitation, simplification of administrative procedures, and updated regulations designed to improve the investment and tourism environment in Cambodia.
Throughout the full-day program, guest speakers from ministries and relevant organizations shared insights on key topics including environmental governance, investment policy coordination, business registration and work permit procedures, construction and environmental regulatory frameworks, and improving transparency and predictability in taxation procedures.
The discussions highlighted the Royal Government of Cambodia’s ongoing efforts, recent achievements, and future plans to strengthen investor confidence, promote sustainable economic growth, and create a more competitive and resilient investment environment for both domestic and international investors.
